This small milking barn and creamery had been incorporated within a much larger holding barn, but the milking barn lost its roof in the process. After being sold, the dairy and barns were abandoned and the wood from the holding barn was sold for reuse. The new owners wanted to revitalize the original barn into a shop with a loft space to serve the maintenance needs of their vineyard. The concrete stanchions were removed, the original wood windows were restored, and a new roof was created for the milking barn. The orientation of the corrugated metal roof was just right for solar panels, so this barn functions off the grid.
